तुषोदकं यवैरामैः सतुषैः शकलीकृतैः ॥ यवैरुदकसहितैः सन्धानवर्गोक्तत्वात् ॥

तुषाम्बु सन्धितं ज्ञेयमामैर्विदलितैर्यवैः । यवैस्तु निस्तुषैः पक्वैः सौवीरं सन्धितं तदुच्यते ॥

आमैः विदलितैः खण्डितै ईदृशीर्यावत् सन्धानं क्रियते तत् तुषाम्बु कथितं ॥

तुषाम्बु दीपनं हृद्यं पाण्डुक्रिमिगदापहम् | तीक्ष्णोष्णं पाचनं पित्तरक्तकृद्बस्तिशूलनुत् ||६||

तुषाम्बु दीपनं हृद्यं हृत्पाण्डुकृमिरोगनुत् ||९६||

यव को खण्डित करके पानी के साथ सन्धान करके बनायी हुवी द्रव को तुषोदक कहते है । तुषांबु अग्नि दीपक, हृद्य,तीक्ष्ण,उष्ण,पाचन, पित्त और रक्त को बढानेवाला है और पाण्डुरोग, क्रिमिरोग तथा वस्तिशूल मे प्रयुक्त होता है ॥

Fermented product produced by fermenting the broaken whole barley is called as tushodaka. Tushambu used therepautically in Panduroga, Krimiroga and Vastishula. It has quality of dipana,Hrudya,tIkshna, Ushna, Pachana, pitta and rakta vruddhikara.
