द्वौ प्रस्थौ स्वरसाद् ब्राह्मया घृतप्रस्थञ्च साधितम्| व्योषश्यामात्रिवृद्बिम्बीशङ्खपुष्पीनृपद्रुमैः|
ससप्तलाकृमिहरैः कल्कितैरक्षसम्मितैः| पलवृद्ध्या प्रयुञ्जीत परं मात्राचतुष्पलम्|
उन्मादकुष्ठापस्मारहरं वन्ध्यासुतप्रदम्| वाक्यस्वरस्मृतिमेधाकृद्धन्यं ब्राह्मीघृतं स्मृतम्||१७||

शशिलेखा व्याख्या (इन्दु कृत)

ब्राह्मयाः स्वरसात् प्रस्थद्वयं चतुःषष्टिपलानि घृतप्रस्थं द्वात्रिंशत्पलानि कर्षप्रमाणैः कल्कितैर्व्योषादिभिः साधितं ब्राह्मीघृतसंज्ञमेतत् पलवृद्ध्या दिने दिने पलप्रमाणवृद्ध्या प्रयुञ्जीत| परमुत्कृष्टा मात्रा चतुष्पलं पलचतुष्टयम्| तद्घृतमुन्मादादिहरं वन्ध्यायाः सुतप्रदं वागादिकृद् धन्यं भाग्यकरं स्मृतमाचार्यैः
||१७||

सर्वाङ्गसुन्दरी व्याख्या

ब्राह्मीस्वरसात्प्रस्थद्वयं घृतस्य प्रस्थं व्योषादिभिः कार्षिकै रजीकृतैः पक्वं पलवृद्ध्या-पलं प्रथमेऽह्नि द्विपलं द्वितीयेऽह्नि त्रिपलं तृतीयेऽह्नि चतुष्पलं चतुर्थेऽह्ने ततः परं चतुष्पलमित्येवं, प्रयुञ्जीत| तच्चोन्मादादिजिद्वन्ध्यासुतप्रदं वागादिकृच्छिवं च ब्राह्मीघृतं स्मृतम्|

ब्राह्मीका स्वरस ४ सेर, घी २ सेर और १ - १ तोला सोंठ, मिर्च, पीपल, काली निसोत,बिम्बी,शंखपुष्पी, अमलतासकी छाल, सातलाकी छाल और बायबिडंगका कल्क तथा ८ सेर पानी, एकत्र मिलाकर पकायें । जब घृत मात्र शेष रह जाय तो छान लें।
इसे ५ तोलेकी मात्रासे सेवन करना प्रारम्भ करें और धीरे धीरे २० तोले तक मात्रा बढ़ा दें।इसके सेवनसे उन्माद, कुष्ठ और अपस्मारका नाश होता तथा वाचाशक्ति, स्वर, स्मृति और मेधाकी वृद्धि होती है एवं वन्ध्या स्त्रीको पुत्रप्राप्ति होती है । (व्यवहारिक मात्रा-१ से २ तोले तक)
